The Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. All information provided will be held by Humber in confidence and will be protected in a manner that satisfies the requirements of the Ontario Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish or identify a specific individual. This information can include but is not limited to an individual’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, Social Insurance Number, place of birth, languages spoken, and resume.
Humber collects personal information for planning, program administration, statistical, evaluation, marketing and follow-up purposes. Information is also collected to determine eligibility and make referrals to programs and services. Humber will share information with organizations such as: The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration and International Trade, referral agencies, the project’s evaluator, and employers, as appropriate.
Your personal information will be retained at Humber at a secure location. Humber will take all measures reasonably necessary for the protection of your personal information against unauthorized release or disclosure. Should you wish to access information held by Humber, please submit a request in writing.
We will not disclose your personal information to anyone without your prior knowledge or consent, except when required by a government body or agency, or as permitted by law.
