Become part of the success!

The Mentoring Partnership initiative brings together recent skilled immigrants and established professionals in occupation-specific mentoring relationships. Mentors give 24 hours of their time over a four-month period to help their mentee navigate the job search process by sharing their knowledge, experience and professional networks. Mentoring plays a critical role in building networks and developing effective job search strategies.

Mentees are individuals who are:

  • Living in Canada for 3 years or less and have no prior work experience in Canada in their field
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Having the English skills required to perform effectively in the workplace
  • Unemployed or underemployed - working 20 hours or less a week
  • Educated, trained and having at least 3 years work experience outside of Canada in their area of expertise
  • Job ready and have completed a Job Search Workshop
